Cobblestone Publishing has a Kids Page with a variety of non-fiction resources. The content (and the quality) vary, but when I visited there was an interesting article, Meet the Kurds, as well as an interesting activity page on Native American languages, and more.
Multicultural Children's Literature in the Elementary Classroom is an excellent short online article with bibliography to help teachers evaluate multicultural books.
